Graeme Coote
Principal Engineer and Managing Director.
Graeme Coote formed GWCoote in 2011.
Graeme has over 20 years’ experience within the scaffolding industry. He has worked with and for many leading scaffold companies and principle construction contractors at senior levels, and brings extensive experience to the role of managing director.
During 10 years at a leading scaffold company, Graeme commenced as a trainee scaffolder in 1996 and progressed to senior scaffolder and senior foreman in 2002. Graeme held a number of leadership roles as an advanced scaffolder and was responsible for management and supervision of teams of up to 20 scaffolders.
Subsequently, this experience inspired his interest in Civil and Structural Engineering and he decided to train to become a Civil Engineer. Graeme took a trainee engineer position at Atkins Global, SGB (formally Harsco) and Tone Scaffolding to support his part time education and also to provide practical experience and training. In 2010 he completed a Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Civil engineering and has been gathering work based evidence towards becoming a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Civil Engineers.
Thomas Riding
Design Engineer
Tom joined the team in February 2017, he has a HNC in Civil Engineering as well as 11 years experience in Advanced Temporary Works Design, which covers mainly Tube & Fitting and System Scaffolds such as Layher, Cuplok, Genlok, Altrad Metrix,
Plettac Contur, HAKI & Event Structures. Within this, he also has 3 years practical on the tools experience working for D&R Scaffolding, giving him an academic as well as practical all round
knowledge of the industry
He has worked with many of the UK's biggest and renowned scaffold companies / main contractors.
He has a firm understanding of TG20:13, Numerous other NASC guidelines, LUL standards, National Rail Requirements, Altrad Metrix, Layher technical guidance and HAKI
systems, and is also highly proficient with various AutoCAD versions in both 2D / 3D creation, Structural Analysis Packages, Microsoft Office, Adobe, Sketch up
and Microstation. And is therefore able to produce detailed calculations using structural analysis packages, wind / snow codes and current technical guidance
publications.
Stuart Duffy
CAD Manager/Scaffold designer
Stuart Duffy joined GWCoote Ltd in 2012 as a trainee Engineer/Cad technician, he has an overall
responsibility for making sure that all design drawings are completed and issued within the designated time frame, designing and maintaining the companies’ Cad Standards and . He started as a
Scaffold Apprentice and was promoted into the office as a Trainee CAD Technician, Stuart has now progressed into a CAD Manager.
Prior to joining the GW Coote, Stuart worked as a Sales Rep for bespoke water boosters. At KGN Pillinger Stuart prepared quotations and enquiries to new and existing clients. Stuart maintained a
great business relationship with employees and clients.
Stuart then joint an established Barristers Chambers in London where he worked as a Barrister clerk for four years. He would assist with the day to day diary, planning workloads for barristers to prevent any double booking of Court hearings. Stuart would complete fee chasing tasks for all Barristers in his team.

Adam Colby
Site Inspector
Adam has over 34 years in the scaffold business and is extremely conscientious when it comes to the health and safety aspect of the job. He has worked for companies such as Hadley, BCM and MAC, so brings extensive practical experience to the business.
He has supervisory experience, is used to liaising with contract and site managers as well as health and safety officers. He has qualifications in Health & Safety and holds a Part 2 Scaffold Card.
He will be using Safetrak to carry out his inspections which is something we are very excited about, as it will make the whole procees quicker and much more efficient.
